[Welcome to Arizona, Mr. Holder. You can start passing out your subpoenas to those in the cheap seats.]

If you had paid for tickets to a sports event, concert, Disneyland, or on an airplane and when you got to your assigned seat, someone else was in that seat, what would you do? You would call for a person in charge of ticket checking and have the person in your seat removed. Then, you would be properly asked to show your ticket and you would gladly and proudly do so. For you have bought and paid for that seat.

The person in your seat would also be asked for a ticket and they would not be able to produce one. They would be called gatecrashers and they would be properly removed.

Now in this huge stadium called the USA we have had millions of gatecrashers. We have been asking security to check for tickets and remove the gatecrashers for years. We have been asking security to have better controls in checking at the door. We have asked security to lock the back doors. And true to task, Security has failed us. They are looking the other way. They are afraid to ask to see the tickets. Many people say there is unlimited seating. Well whether there is or not, no one should be allowed in free while the rest of us pay full price!

In section AZ, of Stadium USA, we have had enough of the failures of Security. We have decided to do our own ticket checking, and properly remove those who do not have tickets. Now it seems very strange to me that so many people in the other 49 sections, and even many in our own section do not want tickets checked, or even be asked to show their ticket! Even the head of Security is chastising us, while not doing his own job that he has sworn to do.

My own ticket has been bought and paid for so I am going to proudly show it when asked to do so. I have a right to my seat, and I want the gatecrashers to be asked to show their tickets too. No more cheap seats for anyone.

The only reason that I can imagine anyone objecting to being asked for their ticket is that they are in favor of gate crashing and all the illegal activities that go with it. Such as drug smuggling, gang wars, murder, human smuggling, and many other illegal and inhumane acts that we are trying to prevent with our new legislation.

Is that what I am hearing from all the protestors such as Phoenix Mayor Gordon, US Representative Grijalva, US Attorney General Eric Holder, and even President Obama?

If you are not in favor of showing tickets, (proof of citizenship, passport, green card, or other legal document) when asked, as I would proudly do, then you must be condoning those illegal activities. Thanks for the suit, Eric!

What Has America Become?

August 30, 2010

Has America become the land of special interest and home of the double standard?

Let’s see:  if we lie to Congress, it is a felony and if Congress lies to us it is just politics; if we dislike a black person, we are racists and if a black dislikes whites, it is his 1st Amendment right; the government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and then does almost nothing for victims; in public school you can teach that homosexuality is OK, but you had better not use the word God in the process; you can kill an unborn child, but it is wrong to execute a mass murderer; we do  not burn books in America, we rewrite them; we got rid of the communist and socialist threat by renaming them progressives; we are unable to close our border with Mexico, but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea; if you protest against President Obama’s policies, you are a terrorist, but if you burn an American flag or George Bush in effigy it is your 1st Amendment right.

You can have pornography on TV or the Internet, but you had better not put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas; we have eliminated all criminals in America, they are now called sick people; we can use a human fetus for medical research, but it is wrong to use an animal.

We take money from those who work hard for it and give it to those who do not wish to work; we all support the Constitution, but only when the Constitution supports our political ideology; we still have freedom of speech, but only if we are being politically correct; parenting has been replaced with Ritalin and video games; the land of opportunity is now the land of handouts; the similarity between hurricane Katrina and the Gulf oil spill is that neither president did anything to help.

And how do we handle a major crisis today? The government appoints a committee to determine who is at fault, then threatens them, passes a law, raises taxes, and tells us the problem is solved they can get back to their reelection campaigns.

What has happened to the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Even Obamacare’s biggest cheerleaders won’t be able to ignore Medicare chief actuary Richard Foster forever. Based on current law, Foster says, seniors who rely on Medicare will replace Medicaid recipients at the bottom of the health care ladder as early as 2019, five years after the individual mandate kicks in. That’s when the fees Medicare pays to providers will be slashed below Medicaid rates, which are already well below market prices.

“And if you’re in a plan that pays the lowest rates, you’re in trouble,” John Goodman, president of the National Center for Policy Analysis, told “The Examiner.”

That’s because the $575 billion cut to Medicare over the next decade — which is needed to pay insurance subsidies for 32 million new people — will force one in seven hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies and hospices out of business, according to the formal Medicare trustees report released on April 22. By 2050, 40 percent of existing health care facilities will be forced to close their doors.

Nearly half of the 32 million newly insured people will be enrolled in Medicaid (those whose incomes are at or below 133 percent of the poverty line will have no choice), but they shouldn’t expect the level of care that current Medicaid recipients receive, Goodman adds.

“For many low-income people, there’s not going to be much difference. Now they get care at community health centers and hospital emergency rooms. The Medicaid system won’t be able to handle them in a substantially different way. They’ll end up going to the same doctors and the same facilities they go to as uninsured.”

But there will be one difference: The wait for care will be much, much longer. Obamacare will provide 100 million Americans with much more generous insurance than they have today, Goodman points out, with no co-pays and no deductibles. This will give people new incentives to access medical care even though there won’t be enough doctors to handle the increased demand. A looming shortages of nurses won’t help, either.

Many physicians already refuse to accept new Medicare patients. More will refuse when payments from the government fall below cost. “It will be a game of medical musical chairs,” Goodman predicts. And when the music ends, it will be 15 million vulnerable senior citizens who wind up without a seat

First Wave: Expiration of 2001 and 2003 Tax Relief: In 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business owners, and families. These will all expire on January 1, 2011:

Personal income tax rates will rise.  The top income tax rate will rise from 35 to 39.6 percent (this is also the rate at which two-thirds of small business profits are taxed).  The lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent.  All the rates in between will also rise.  Itemized deductions and personal exemptions will again phase out, which has the same mathematical effect as higher marginal tax rates.  The full list of marginal rate hikes include:

 –          The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%

 –          The 25% bracket rises to 28%

 –          The 28% bracket rises to 31%

 –          The 33% bracket rises to 36%

 –          The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%

Higher taxes on marriage and family:  The “marriage  penalty” (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return from the first dollar of income.  The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child.  The standard deduction will no longer be doubled for married couples relative to the single level.  The dependent care and adoption tax credits will be cut.

The return of the Death Tax: This year, there is no death tax.  For those dying on or after January 1 2011, there is a 55 percent top death tax rate on estates over $1 million.  A person leaving behind two homes, a business, a retirement account, could easily pass along a death tax bill to their loved ones. Think of the farmers who don’t make much money, but their land, which they purchased years ago with after-tax dollars, is now worth a lot of money. Their children will have to sell the farm, which may be their livelihood, just to pay the estate tax if they don’t have the cash sitting around to pay the tax. Think about your own family’s assets. Maybe your family owns real estate, or a business that doesn’t make much money, but the building and equipment are worth $1 million. Upon their death, you can inherit the $1 million business tax free, but if they own a home, stock, cash worth $500K on top of the $1 million business, then you will owe the government $275,000 cash! That’s 55% of the value of the assets over $1 million!

Higher tax rates on savers and investors:  The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011.  The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011.  These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.

Wave Two: Obamacare:  The most onerous wave will be Obamacare. There are over twenty new or higher taxes in Obamacare. Several will first go into effect on January 1, 2011. They include:

The Medicine Cabinet Tax Hike: Thanks to Obamacare, Americans will no longer be able to use health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or health reimbursement (HRA) pre-tax dollars to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin).

The Special Needs Kids Tax Hike: This provision of Obamacare imposes a cap on flexible spending accounts (FSAs) of $2500 (Currently, there is no federal government limit). There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: Parents of special needs children.

There are thousands of families with special needs children in the United States and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education. Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington, D.C. (National Child Research Center) can easily exceed $14,000 per year. Under tax rules, FSA dollars can not be used to pay for this type of special needs education.

The HSA (Health Savings Account) Withdrawal Tax Hike: This provision of Obamacare increases the additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10 percent.

Wave Three: The Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) and Employer Tax:  When Americans prepare to file their tax returns in January of 2011, they’ll be in for a nasty surprise-the AMT won’t be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired.

The major items include:

The AMT will ensnare over 28 million families, up from 4 million last year. According to the left-leaning Tax Policy Center, Congress’ failure to index the AMT will lead to an explosion of AMT taxpaying families—rising from 4 million last year to 28.5 million. These families will have to calculate their tax burdens twice, and pay taxes at the higher level. The AMT was created in 1969 to ensnare a handful of taxpayers.

Small business expensing will be slashed and 50% expensing will disappear. Small businesses can normally expense (rather than slowly deduct, or “depreciate”) equipment purchases up to $250,000. This will be cut all the way down to $25,000. Larger businesses can currently expense half of their purchases of equipment. In January of 2011, all of it will have to be “depreciated.”

Taxes will be raised on all types of businesses. There are literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place. The biggest is the loss of the “research and experimentation tax credit,” but there are many, many others.

Combining high marginal tax rates with the loss of this tax relief will cost jobs. Tax Benefits for Education and Teaching will be reduced. The deduction for tuition and fees will not be available. Tax credits for education will be limited. Teachers will no longer be able to deduct classroom expenses. Coverdell Education Savings Accounts will be cut. Employer-provided educational assistance is curtailed. The student loan interest deduction will be disallowed for hundreds of thousands of families.

Charitable Contributions from IRAs will no longer be allowed. Under current law, a retired person with an IRA can contribute up to $100,000 per year directly to a charity from their IRA. This contribution also counts toward an annual “required minimum distribution.” This ability will no longer be there.

Oh yes, now your insurance will become INCOME on your W-2 forms! One of the surprises we will all find next year is, (next year folks), our W-2 tax form sent by our employer will be increased to show the value of whatever health insurance we are given by the company. It does not matter if that’s a private concern or governmental body of some sort. Just can’t wait until the public sector sees its W-2 forms for 2011. Mmm, Mmm, Mmm.

Retired? So what—your gross will go up by the amount of insurance you have.

You will be required to pay taxes on a large sum of money that you have never seen. Take your tax form you just finished and see what $15,000 or $20,000 additional gross income does to your tax debt. That’s what you’ll pay next year. For many, it also puts you into a new, higher bracket so it’s even worse.

This is how the government is going to buy insurance for the 15% that do not have insurance and it’s only part of the coming tax increases. Not believing this? Here is a research moment from the summaries—On page 25 of 29: TITLE IX REVENUE PROVISIONS- SUBTITLE A: REVENUE OFFSET PROVISIONS-(sec. 9001, as modified by sec. 10901) Sec. 9002 “requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee the aggregate cost of applicable employer sponsored group health coverage that is excludable from the employees gross income.”

Had enough? Not yet. Plans for even more astonishing government extortion will be revealed in later blog posts. For now—vote REPUBLICAN in November. It is the only vote that may help to change some of the above intrusions upon our individuality and freedom.

[Excerpted from Internet articles.]

Over a decade ago, the Supreme Court overruled a Nebraska ban on partial-birth abortions because of statements from the large and influential medical group, the American Group of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG.)

During the hearing, ACOG lobbied the Supreme Court with “evidence” that partial-birth abortions were critical tools to help “save the lives of women.” Evenso, the Supreme Court could not find any evidence of ACOG’s claims of the health benefits of partial-birth abortions and ruled there was faulty health evidence.

Enter Elena Kagan. Never one to allow anyone tell her that her personal opinions are incorrect, even the Supreme Court, Kagan persisted. So instead of having ACOG, a group of real accredited and practicing medical doctors, write another statement in support of partial-birth abortions, Kagan decided to create her own. As Solicitor General she wrote a legal memo to the Supreme Court claiming partial-birth abortions “may be the best or most appropriate procedure in a particular circumstance to save the life or preserve the health of a woman.”

The evidence given to the Supreme Court was supposed to come from ACOG not a Liberal Washington bureaucrat. It is possible Kagan wrote even more skewed memos and disguised them as evidence coming straight from ACOG. Kagan presented her “medical opinions” to the highest court in our country disguising them as “medical facts” from the American Group of Obstetrics and Gynecologists.

Elena Kagan is not a doctor that specializes in women’s health issues. She is a Liberal ideologue who attended upper-class schools and spent her time at Harvard trying to destroy our Constitution and dishonor our brave military personnel.

Apparently that is enough for her to believe she is qualified to make critical decisions about women’s lives and the lives of the unborn. Just like Obama’s arrogance at believing even though he had absolutely no experience he was qualified enough to run our country, Kagan doesn’t think her incompetence should stop her from making critical health decisions for Americans. And Barack Hussein Obama agrees. Mmm, Mmm.

Now Harry Reid is desperate and worried as Democrats appear ready to bail on the Kagan nomination. As such, he has called for the Senate to vote on Kagan’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court by Thursday, August 05, 2010.

A criminal himself, like Kagan, Reid does not mind that Kagan thinks science is politically subjective and therefore subject to a higher level of interpretation. As Solicitor General to the Supreme Court, Kagan blatantly disregarded actual medical facts and abused her position of power when she decided to edit scientific findings about the dangers of partial-birth abortions during the Clinton Administration. Accordingly, she is the perfect Liberal Puppet for President Obama to use the Supreme Court to push even more dangerous and controversial legislation from the bench upon the American People.

Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac are the two most highly illegal centers for redistribution of wealth in America today. Protected by the Obama Administration; ignored by Republicans.

Here, a little history: The original $400 billion bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (July of 2008) occurred as a result of the Subprime Mortgage Crisis.

Although President Bush warned as early as the fall of 2001, and again in 2006, of a coming crisis at the two GSEs, Congress refused to listen. When President Bush suggested that subprime mortgages could negatively affect Fannie and Freddie, Christopher Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, and Barney Frank, Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, thought they were not seriously threatened. And they still think they are not threatened!

In early 2008, the Federal Reserve began guaranteeing loans to Bear Stearns and other banks to prevent an all-out financial failure. Soon Fannie and Freddie stepped in to guarantee even more loans. However, Fannie and Freddie had to answer to stockholders. When they panicked, the Feds (not Congress) realized they would need to step in to rescue Fannie and Freddie themselves.

In July of 2008, Congress did approve a bailout plan for mortgage companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The plan allowed the U.S. Treasury Department to guarantee as much as $400 billion in loans held by the two corporations, who hold or guarantee more than $5 trillion, or half, of the nation’s mortgages. However, Wall Street’s fears that these loans would default caused Fannie’s and Freddie’s shares to tumble, making it more difficult for the private companies to raise additional capital themselves.

The bailout included:

  • Approval for the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) to guarantee $380 billion in new loans to keep 400,000 homeowners out of foreclosure
  • $5 billion in CDBG grants to help homeowners in poor neighborhoods.
  • Approval for the Treasury Department to buy shares of Fannie and Freddie’s stock to support stock price levels and allow the two to continue to raise capital on the private market.
  • About $15 billion in housing tax breaks, including a credit of up to $7,500 for first-time buyers.
  • An increase in the statutory limit on the national debt by $800 billion, to $10.6 trillion.
  • A new regulatory agency to oversee Fannie and Freddie, including executive pay levels.

In testimony before a House Financial Services Committee subcommittee on June 3, 2009, Federal Housing Finance Agency Director James B. Lockhart III presented his report, “The Present Condition and Future Status of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac”

Highlights of the report included:

  • The Treasury Department’s commitment to fund up to $200 billion in capital for each Enterprise is expected be sufficient.
  • The Enterprises own or guarantee 56% of the single family mortgages in this country, or $5.4 trillion of the total $11.9 trillion in outstanding mortgage debt.
  • Their combined share of mortgages originated in the first quarter of 2009 was 73 percent.
  • Private-label mortgage-backed securities (PLS) are a major driver of Enterprise losses.
  • Both Enterprises are heavily involved in planning and implementing the Making Homes Affordable and the Home Affordable Refinance programs.

The report further noted:

In March of 2009, Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner was forced to acknowledge before the Congress that it was “very hard to judge what the scale of losses is.” The companies’ first- quarter regulatory filings said that, at the end of March, borrowers were late making payments on $338.4 billion worth of loans, up from $206.1 billion a year earlier.

According to market analysts, it was difficult to estimate the depth of the hole the two companies had fallen into as it depends on unemployment, interest rates, and other factors that affect home prices.

Analysts at Barclays Capital Inc. had estimated $500 billion in a prior December report. They said the default could be more, if housing prices drop further. On the other hand, the White House’s Office of Management and Budget estimated in February of 2009 that the required aid could total as little as $160 billion if the economy strengthened.

On June 16, 2010, it was announced that the two Government-Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) would have their shares delisted from the NYSE.

[WASHINGTON, Jun 16, 2010 (UPI via COMTEX ) — The Federal National Mortgage Association Wednesday notified New York and Chicago stock exchanges of its intention to delist its stock due to low prices.]

Fannie Mae said it also had filed notification with the Securities and Exchange Commission of its intention to delist common and preferred stock, a move prompted by the New York Stock Exchange, which informed Fannie Mae on June 15 that it no longer met minimum standards on prices to maintain a presence on the exchange.

Currently, Sean Egan, president of Haverford, Pennsylvania-based Egan-Jones Ratings Co., feels the two companies could be forced to write off at least 20 percent of their loans and guarantees, or $1 trillion in “a reasonable worst-case scenario,” if the housing market continues to weaken.

The future of the housing finance system is being debated by lawmakers. There are any number of worst cases and best cases that could occur to both companies. All that’s clear from the de-listing announcements is that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are on ice that has now been officially acknowledged to be very thin.

Meanwhile, the Obama administration is delaying action on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to keep losses off the government’s books. Adding possibly more than $1-trillion in additional US debt.

So, what are you going to do about it, madam senator? Or you, mister representative? Or you, President Obama? If history prevails, NOTHING, NOTHING, AND NOTHING!

Robert A. Hall is a Marine Vietnam veteran who served five terms in the Massachusetts State Senate.

I’m 63.  Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I’ve worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven’t called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there’s no retirement in sight, and I’m tired. Very tired.

I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I’m tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to “keep people in their homes.”  Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I’m willing to help. But if they bought Mc Mansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congressional Criminals who passed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble, help them with their own money.

I’m tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of  Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of  China , the crime and violence of  Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of  Iran , and the freedom of speech of  Venezuela .

I’m tired of being told that Islam is a “Religion of Peace,” when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family “honor”; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren’t “believers”; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for “adultery”; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur’an and Shari’a law tells them to.

I’m tired of being told that “race doesn’t matter” in the post-racial world of Obama, when it’s all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.

I think it’s very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Dr. Condoleezza Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I’m tired of a news media that thinks Bush’s fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama’s, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush’s military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News?  Get a clue. I didn’t vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I’m tired of being told that out of “tolerance for other cultures” we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I’m tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore’s, and if you’re greener than Gore, you’re green enough.

I’m tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don’t think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I’m tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I’m tired of illegal aliens being called “undocumented workers,” especially the ones who aren’t working, but are living on welfare or crime. What’s next?  Calling drug dealers, “Undocumented Pharmacists”?  And, no, I’m not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it’s been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion.  I’m willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn’t have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military…. Those are the citizens we need.

I’m tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war?  You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave?  Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are?  Not even close.  So here’s the deal. I’ll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we’ll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I’m tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I’m tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois, where the “Illinois Combine” of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama’s cabinet.

I’m tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I’m tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I’m tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn’t have that in 1970, but we didn’t know we were “poor.” The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I’m real tired of people who don’t take responsibility for their lives and actions. I’m tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I’m damn tired. But I’m also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I’m not going to have to see the “Atlas Shrugged” world of Ayn Rand these idiots are making. I’m just sorry for my granddaughter.

This is a read you will not soon forget. Wherever you stand on this issue, please read this; it should wake you from your careless slumber on this important truth. Thank you Governor Lamm.

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an “immigration overpopulation” conference in Washington, DC, filled by many of America’s finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, “Mexifornia,” explaining how immigration – both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America.

The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, “If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let’s destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that “An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.”

“Here is how they do it,” Lamm said:

” First, to destroy America, turn America into a bilingual or multilingual and bi-cultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: ‘The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.’ Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, Corsicans and Muslims.”

Lamm went on:

“Second, to destroy America, invent ‘multiculturalism’ and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal; that there are no cultural differences. Make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out-of-bounds.”

” Third, we could make the United States a ‘Hispanic Quebec without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: ‘The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentrcity and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.’ Lamm continued, “I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.”

“Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school.”

” My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of ‘Victimology.’ I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority placation.”

” My sixth plan for America’s downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other – that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precept. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshiped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia, threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. “E. Pluribus Unum” — From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the ‘pluribus’ instead of the ‘Unum,’ we will “Balkanize” America as surely as Kosovo.”

” Next to last, I would place all subjects off-limits. Make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of ‘diversity.’ I would find a word similar to ‘heretic’ in the 16th century – that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like ‘racist’ or ‘xenophobe’ halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bi-cultural country, having established multicultum, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of ‘Victimology,’ I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them.”

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said, “Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis’s book ‘Mexifornia.’ His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don’t read that book.”

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate ‘diversity.’ American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America. Take note of California and other states. To date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell’s book “1984.” In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: “War is peace,” “Freedom is slavery,” and “Ignorance is strength.”

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don’t get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

From a southern California school teacher

The drive-by media have said that the country is laughing about Arizona and the law Governor Jan Brewer just signed.  Today’s Rasmussen poll indicates 59% of all Americans nation wide favor the new law, while over 70% of Arizonans continue to favor it. Governor Jan Brewer had the guts to do something, since the federal government has not.  Hopefully, other states will see the light and follow Arizona’s lead.

I hope each person will read this carefully all the way to the end. It is sad what is happening to our great country all because our politicians are afraid they will miss out on a vote. What a travesty!

I am in charge of the “English-As-A-Second-Language Department” at a very large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 School, which means that its students on average are from lower socioeconomic and income levels.

Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park and others, where students are protesting, are also Title 1 Schools

Title 1 Schools are on the “free breakfast and free lunch program.” When I say free breakfast, I’m not talking about a glass of milk and roll. We have a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. Yet, the waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped into the trash, uneaten. (THESE ARE OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!)

I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones. The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having to ask members of their immediate or extended family to watch their kids.

Recently, I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything. My budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the Computer Learning Center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America. (THESE ARE OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!)

I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of so many illegal immigrant students, all here less than 3 months, who have raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them “Putas” (whores) and throwing things at them that the teachers were in tears.

Free medical, free education, free food, day care, etc., etc, etc.  Is it any wonder they feel entitled not only to be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and more entitlements?

To all those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they just happen to like their gardener and housekeeper and they also like to pay less for tomatoes, they should spend some time in our real world of illegal immigrants where they can see the true costs of illegal immigration.

Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education for our schools, overcrowding, new infectious diseases and on and on. For me, I would be most happy to pay more for my tomatoes.

More Americans need to wake up now. Any guest worker program will be a disaster because we won’t have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think our illegal aliens will voluntarily leave and then return each harvest season?

It has everything to do with culture. A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that refuses to assimilate. Supported by a progressive American culture that has become so weak and worried about “political correctness” that we don’t have the will to do anything about it.

CHEAP LABOR? Isn’t that what the immigration issue is about? Business owners do not wish to pay a decent wage. Consumers do not want expensive produce. Government will tell you that Americans don’t want the jobs. But the bottom line is cheap labor.

The phrase “cheap labor” is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as “cheap labor.”

For example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children takes a job for
$5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an “earned income credit” of up to $3,200 free. He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent. He qualifies for food stamps. He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care. His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school. He requires bilingual teachers and books. He qualifies for relief from high energy bills. If he is or becomes, aged, blind or disabled, he qualifies for SSI. Once he has qualified for SSI he can also qualify for Medicare.  All of this at (our) taxpayer’s expense.

He doesn’t worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance. Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material.

He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits. Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills—and his. The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up. Cheap labor? YEAH RIGHT!

Today, most Americans agree. The far left Liberal/Progressive plan for a resolution to one of our biggest national problems is a total failure. While it remains unaddressed by either party, we need more Governors like Jan Brewer. Click here to comment

In 1979 when Chrysler Corp. faced bankruptcy, a maverick, 55-year-old Lee Iacocca, only one year into his tenure as the company’s CEO, convinced the US  Government to bail out the company and provide $1.5 billion in federally backed loans.

Overtime he succeeded in reviving Chrysler, starting with the compact to mid-sized K-car line in 1981. Two years later, he followed that successful launch with an even more dramatic breakthrough, the first minivans, the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager, which drew hordes of families to showrooms and set the standard for family friendly transportation.

Thanks in part to the success of the vehicles he introduced and cost-saving measures he implemented, Iacocca was able to turn the company around during the 1980s, paying back the government loans seven years early using Chrysler revenues to do so. Not Taxpayer’s money.

Flash forward to 2010. Enter Ed Whitacre as CEO of General Motors and his payback scam bettered only by Bernard Lawrence “Bernie” Madoff former stockbroker, investment adviser, non-executive chairman of the NASDAQ stock market, and the self-admitted operator of what has been described as the largest Ponzi scheme in history.

You’d think that General Motors Co., having been rescued by U.S. taxpayers, would be more up-front with them. In an ad that has been blanketing the airwaves since last week, General Motors Chairman and chief executive Ed Whitacre boasts that, “We have repaid our government loan, in full, with interest, five years ahead of the original schedule.”

Heightening this scam, Whitacre said in a press release that GM was able to repay the loans “because more customers are buying vehicles like the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse.” Implying GM revenues were used to repay government loans.

Neither the ad nor the press release mentioned that GM repaid its government loan with yet other government money, or that U.S. taxpayers could lose money on the roughly $50 billion they still have invested in General Motors.

In a letter to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner last week, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said the repayment “appears to be nothing more than an elaborate TARP money shuffle.”

For sure, it certainly smells like yet another  Ponzi scheme concocted by the US Government.

And so the legacy of William Jefferson Clinton, the prophet of Washington liars, gains yet another disciple by name Ed Whitacre. UGH!
